    The Investment division manages Duke’s first and only impact VC fund. We manage $100K, the largest sum ever entrusted to a student group by Duke University. We source social impact startups to invest in and conduct due diligence on deals that fit our investment criteria in the sectors of education and health, fintech, consumer products, energy and environment.

    Co-Director of Investment

    Samhitha is a senior at Duke University, majoring in Economics and minoring in Computer Science, and is Co-Director of Investment. She is passionate about economic development. In her free time, she volunteers at the Community Empowerment Fund and manages Women in Politics.

    Jeremy Yi is a senior at Duke University studying Economics, Computer Science, and Global Health. While at Duke, he has explored ways to create meaningful change in our health system by looking at problems through the lens of an economist or data scientist. As co-director, he is excited to empower the investment division to pursue the intersection of social good and technical development. Outside of DIIG, Jeremy enjoys playing soccer and intramural spikeball as well as rewatching The Office.
