  • Research Team

One of the greatest problems in impact investing is the vague and qualitative characterization of “impact.” Investors at the highest level still struggle to determine what impact means in the context of different organizations and how to measure this impact. The Duke Impact Investing Group research division attempts to answer these questions by creating standardized, comparable metrics for impact assessment across a variety of different company sectors.

    Director of Research

Luke Qin is a sophomore at Duke University, looking to major in computer science. Though he is a firm believer in the ability of startups and companies to do social good, he believes that there is a lack of information about the meaning of impact creation and wants to create tools for the next generation of impact investors. Outside of DIIG, Luke enjoys playing tennis, going to the gym, and watching horror movies.
